My dear mum just bought a bunch of bussiness cards, beighe and dull. I think the font was Times New Roman! It cannot get more standardized and boring can it?
I did this logotype/half-businesscard as a mock-up for my mum and her architect company, Spirea Konsult™. It's not a ready bussiness card, but I don't think it will make a good card as the logo is very difficult to read. Maybe I'll add a backside with clarifications...

But more importantly! how do like the design?

Looks good, but definitely not a architect's business card. Change the name and sell it to a design group

I'm gonna have to agree with you, this design probably won't make a great business card. It's a little too playful for a business card, but most importantly, it's hard to read, so it doesn't really serve the purpose of a good logo.

As to the design itself, I think it's great. Even if you don't use it as a business card it's beautiful different, and very well balanced. I like both the black and white and colored version, but I think I'd like it even more, if you had a version that was colored but had fewer different colors. The Rainbow effect draws the attention away from the design itself and I'm not sure if that's the effect you want to achieve in this case.
